Aria’s Sourdough Journey
This bread journey is a love story that began in my early childhood, standing in line at bakeries in Rasht and Tehran with my mother and grandmother, waiting for fresh Sangak and Barbari. Watching bakers transform humble ingredients into something extraordinary — while surrounded by the aroma of fresh bread — ingrained in me a deep love and respect for the craft.
Years later, that passion resurfaced when I discovered the art of sourdough through Zingerman’s Deli in Ann Arbor. Inspired, I set out to learn everything I could, creating my first starter in June of 2017 in New Jersey. I’ve been nurturing it — and my craft — ever since.
Today, Aria Breads is the culmination of that journey. From our farmer’s market stand to our partnerships with restaurants and cafés across Los Angeles, Orange County, and Riverside County we remain dedicated to baking bread that speaks for itself: naturally leavened, handcrafted, and uncompromising in quality. Each loaf is a testament to patience, passion, and the belief that bread has the power to bring people together — whether across a family table, in a neighborhood café, or at the heart of a bustling restaurant.
